Students from the Las Cruces High School Environmental Science and Power program are set to give a demonstration about the Legacy Community Garden Thursday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at First Christian Church, 1809 El Paseo Road.

The demonstration will include student presentations about: Johnson-Su composting/bioreactor, garden progression, contribution to community, harvesting, impacts, prices, nutrition, soil testing, data collection and regenerative agriculture.

The community garden project was supported by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA Award FA~NM~7~023), the Agricultural Best Practices & FSA Promotion in Southern New Mexico & Texas and First Christian Church, which generously donated the land and water for the garden.
