The City of Las Cruces is embarking on a public art master planning process to engage the community in a broad conversation about the value of public art. This process will determine a vision and goals for public art in Las Cruces that captures that community’s aspirations and spirit. It will also provide us with the processes and procedures necessary to implement a successful citywide public art program.

The City of Las Cruces and the City Art Board are working with Via Partnership to guide the planning process for the City of Las Cruces Public Art Master Plan. Via is a public art consulting firm with more than 20 years’ experience working with communities across North America to develop innovative and successful public art plans and strategies. The process will rely on broad community input and will engage the Las Cruces community through surveys, visioning sessions, workshops, and more.

The City is asking community members to share their thoughts on public art by taking the Las Cruces Public Art Master Plan Survey linked below.
