Booker T. Washington Elementary will participate in this year’s National Comcast Cares Clean-Up Day.  We are in need of many, many volunteers to help us paint and spruce up the campus. We’ve estimated the need for 1,000 volunteers to successfully complete our projects.

In addition to the spruce-up activities, we are asking that any employees, or family and friends of employees, who are BTW alumni attend so they can leave their hand-print on a retaining wall.  Students of all ages will be asked to participate in a river rock painting project as well.  This is also an opportunity for students to fulfill their community service hours requirement. I will be on-site to verify their service.

The event is this Saturday, May 4, from 8:00 a.m. to noon. We ask that volunteers commit to a minimum of one hour but they are welcome to stay as long as they want.  Attached is a flyer with more information and a map of the school.  Please feel free to share it as you see fit.  Each volunteer will receive a free t-shirt and free food.  Please help me share the word and recruit volunteers!
