This month, Interim Superintendent Dr. Karen Trujillo sat down with Udell Vigil, director of communications for the City of Las Cruces to talk about her plans for the district.

Included in the podcast is a discussion about HB 33, known as, “The Public School Buildings Election” which will be on this year’s ballot for the 2019 Mill Levy Election.

Dr. Trujillo also talks about the growth of the district’s International Welcome Centers and an expanded Translation and Interpretation Department.

Additionally, Dr. Trujillo talks about putting students first and a community school partnership between Las Cruces Public Schools and the City of Las Cruces, which is highlighted in the new video podcast produced by the City of Las Cruces’ communications office.
