Las Cruces Public Schools (LCPS) is conducting a survey to determine the district’s eligibility to apply for federal Impact Aid grant funds. Impact Aid is a federal grant program that assists local school districts who enroll federally connected children. Federally connected children are children of active duty uniformed services personnel, children who reside on Indian lands, children who live on federal property or in subsidized federal housing, and children whose parents are employed on eligible federal properties.
If eligible, LCPS could receive funds to help operate and maintain our schools and enhance educational programs. We need your assistance to determine our eligibility for these federal funds. Please complete the attached Impact Aid Program Survey Form for each school-aged student residing in your household. Please be sure to sign and date the form. Forms without proper signatures cannot be used by the district to determine eligibility for Impact Aid.
Please return completed, signed and dated forms to your child’s school as soon as possible, but no later than October 31, 2019. All information provided will be treated confidentially and used only for the stated purpose.
