Applicants must be rising into 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade, submit an online application, be in good academic standing, and able to attend camp every day.

This camp provides a broad foundation for computer science, to empower our area high school students in CS and computational thinking.

Acceptance into this program will be based on answers provided on the application, the availability of the student applicant to participate in the full two weeks of the program, plus targeted regional, gender, and age distributions.

NMSU is a nationally ranked Carnegie Foundation research institution with top-performing programs and services. We strive for excellence in all areas of teaching and learning and work to identify best practices for continued success. By applying to attend, campers will be asked to participate in an NSF funded Computer Science Education Research project which includes a retrospective survey, and entry and exit interviews.

Summer programs are presented by the outreach team in the Department of Computer Science at NMSU! Instructors are accomplished NMSU students studying computer science and electrical engineering. We utilize near-peer mentors as educators to build strong connections between participants and the exciting world of CS.
