On November 2, 2021, voters residing in the Las Cruces school district will consider a $50 million school bond issue and renewal of a Public School Capital Improvements Levy. If approved, bond funds will renovate older schools, make major repairs and improvements to roofs, kitchens, restrooms, athletic facilities and improve many school facilities.

Renewal of the Public School Capital Improvements Levy will provide funds to maintain all schools – protecting taxpayers’ investments! The mill levy also pays for school equipment, playground improvements, classroom furniture, musical instruments and many other projects. Approval of both the bond and the levy will not increase the current school tax rate.
