Below is a collection of news updates and community resources for the city of Las Cruces and Las Cruces Public Schools District
To offer additional assurances and comprehensive safety measures, Las Cruces Public Schools is offering voluntary COVID-19 surveillance testing beginning May 17 at your child's school and will continue until further notice from the New Mexico Public Education Department and the New Mexico Department of Health. School surveillance testing programs test asymptomatic individuals to discover undiagnosed cases and to better understand the rate of infection in the community. All schools are required to have surveillance testing programs, but student surveillance testing is voluntary. Students who are fully vaccinated need not participate in surveillance testing.
