Las Cruces Public Schools Independence Day Office Closure

Las Cruces Public Schools will observe the Independence Day holiday on Friday, July 3, 2026. All LCPS schools and district offices will be closed in observance of the holiday ahead of Independence Day on Saturday, July 4.

Independence Day commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence in 1776, when the 13 American colonies declared their independence from Great Britain. This year marks a historic milestone as the United States celebrates the 250th anniversary of the nation's founding.

The Dr. Karen M. Trujillo Administration Complex will reopen for regular business hours at 8 a.m. on Monday, July 6, 2026.

Las Cruces Public Schools wishes all students, families, staff, and community members a safe and happy Independence Day weekend.
