Michelle Estrada

Elementary Science Content Specialist

Michelle graduated from NMSU in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. In 2011, she earned a Master of Arts in Education degree with an emphasis in Science. She began working for LCPS in 2002 and has taught Kindergarten, 1st grade, K-2 Multiage, and 4th-grade students. Michelle truly believes that science education in elementary school is the key to classroom engagement and preparing students for the future! The best part of her job as a science content specialist is that she has the amazing opportunity to immerse herself in science teaching and learning every day. Also, she can share her passion for Science with teachers from all over the district and support them on their journey in science instruction. Outside of work, Michelle loves to spend time with her grandbabies, her two Golden Retrievers (Gatsby and Daisy), and with her husband riding bikes, going on walks, cooking, and traveling.
