Las Cruces Public Schools has announced the opening dates for the School Transfer Window, the period when families may request a school transfer for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.
Families should be aware that all students currently on an approved transfer must reapply during the transfer window, unless otherwise noted – for example, high school students currently on a transfer do not need to reapply; only new transfers must submit an application for consideration. Students in specialized programs do not need to apply. All other elementary students currently on a transfer must submit a new request during the transfer window. Elementary flyers with application links will be sent on Feb. 2, 2026, one week ahead of the transfer window.
