April STEM Programs at the Museum of Nature & Science

The Las Cruces Museum of Nature & Science will offer in-person STEM programs for children and families this April. The programs are free but require registration in advance. Register in-person at the Museum of Nature & Science atrium desk before the registration deadlines listed.

“Nature & Science Discovery Pre-K: Plant Life Cycle”

Thursdays, 9am – 10am Learn about the food we eat and how that impacts our ecosystems through stories and crafts. “Pre-K” takes place every Thursday at 9am. Register in advance for April by March 31. Recommended for ages 2-5, adult caregiver participation is required.

“Saturday Family Science – Oil Spill Clean Up” 

 Saturday, April 2nd, 10am - 11am Figure out the most effective way to clean an oil spill by working together during this hands-on family activity. Registration closes March 31. Recommended for ages 6 and up, adult caregiver participation is required.

“Live Animal Feedings”

Saturdays, April 2, 9, & 16, 11am

It’s brunch time! Watch and learn how different species of animals eat, and what they eat. Animal feedings take place in the gallery at the Museum of Nature & Science. No registration is required.

"Animal Encounters"

Saturday, April 23, 11am – 12pm Learn about the diverse world of reptiles get up close to some of the museum’s residents. No registration required.
