NMSU vax requirement

New Mexico State University’s requirement that all in-person students be vaccinated against COVID-19 will impact Las Cruces Public Schools students taking dual credit classes in the fall semester.  The vaccination requirement also includes students taking dual credit classes at Doña Ana Community College.

According to NMSU, the mandate requires students to be vaccinated by June 10 and provide proof by July 1, 2022. In order to upload proof of vaccination, students must be able to access NMSU’s VaxTrax system.  For those who aren’t familiar with the system, LCPS will be offering assistance in two sessions: Wednesday, June 1 from 8 a.m. to noon and Wednesday, June 29 from 1 to 4 p.m. The sessions will be at Arrowhead Park Early College High School, Building 1 at 3600 Arrowhead Drive.

Vaccinations are offered by PMG Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1001 N. Solano Drive Suite A or visit this website to locate and schedule a COVID vaccine.

Parents who prefer to have their students take an online course can make schedule changes with their student’s high school counselor or the LCPS Dual Credit Advisor, Yvonne Palmer at ypalmer@lcps.net.
