The 2026 Summer Enrichment Internship Program is creating more than hands-on learning opportunities, it's building meaningful mentorships that help students prepare for future careers.
In partnership with Education at Work and Doña Ana County, interns spend eight weeks working 20 hours each week alongside the LCPS Technology team. Throughout the summer, our technology staff mentor students by sharing their knowledge, guiding them through real-world IT challenges, and helping them develop the technical and professional skills needed for success.
From repairing computers and replacing screens and keyboards to resetting laptops, clearing user profiles, and preparing devices for the upcoming school year, interns gain valuable experience while working side by side with experienced professionals. They also help service the student laptops used throughout our schools, making a direct impact on teaching and learning across the district.
