The Student Advisory Council for Las Cruces Public Schools had their end of the year celebration this week. The district congratulates all of the graduating seniors and thanks each student for their service!

Shout out to Luke Catanach, the LCPS student athlete of the week from Mayfield High School. Luke is a tennis player who lettered in tennis and soccer all four years. Luke is known to be a smart team leader who helps others on the court. Aside from tennis, he is a member of the National Honor Society and has an interest in computer science and engineering.

Congratulations to Ellise Jay, the LCPS student athlete of the week from Mayfield High School. Ellise plays tennis for the Trojans and is a three-time defending district champion. On the court, Ellise is a good role model for her teammates with a great attitude. Off the court, she participates in band and is a member of the National Honor Society.
