Congrats to Charlotte Crawford, the LCPS Student Athlete of the Week from CHS. Charlotte is captain and midfielder for the girls’ soccer team. She’s had 6 goals and 4 assists this season. Her coach says she’s aggressive, has vision, and is a great technical player for the team.

The Transport Team at Memorial Medical Center had an amazing time connecting with students at today's Career Day at University Hills! They shared details about their important roles as EMTs, RNs, Respiratory Therapists and expressed how they love serving our region and community.

The district congratulates Wren Hofacket, the LCPS Student Athlete of the Week from OMHS. Wren runs Cross Country/Track & Field for the Knights. She took 1st at the Silver Invitational in the 5,000-Meter Run. Her coach says she is a great student athlete on and off the field.

Congratulations to Corbin Coombs, the LCPS Student Athlete of the Week from OMHS. Corbin is Captain of the Cross Country Team. He recently broke the course record at the Centennial Invitational. His coach says he’s a great team leader who commits & dedicates himself to his goals.

ENLACE Southern NM was well represented by ENLACE members from Las Cruces HS, Mayfield HS, and Organ Mountain HS, at the 2023 Student Summit hosted by the Las Cruces Suicide Prevention Task Force and NMSU.
The students participated in workshops and presentations that were insightful, inspirational, and uplifting.

Enlace students from MHS attended the meet-and-greet last night with LCPS Superintendent Ignacio Ruiz.
Students were also able to ask tough questions about educational issues that are high priority for them. They did a great job representing the student body at MHS.

Congratulations to Havyn Jensen, our LCPS Student Athlete of the Week from MHS. Havyn is captain of the Volleyball team. This year, she scored 11 kills during a match against Clint High School. Her coach says she is a great leader who is always willing to help her teammates.

The district congratulates Nikolas Apodaca, the LCPS Student Athlete of the Week from Mayfield High School. Nick is a striker on the soccer team and recently scored two goals during a game against V. Sue Cleveland High School. His coach says he’s hard working, passionate, and is a great teammate.
